The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer® National Partners Program gives your company an opportunity to provide hope for people facing breast cancer – and save lives – through the Society’s premier event to raise funds and awareness to fight breast cancer.

What is Making Strides Against Breast Cancer National Partners Program?

The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer National Partners Program provides your company the chance to engage employees, their families, and friends to join the fight against breast cancer by celebrating breast cancer survivors, raising awareness about early detection and prevention, and giving back to end the disease. The program provides your company with a meaningful opportunity for corporate volunteerism and philanthropy, while uniting your brand with communities across the country in support of one of America’s most popular and unifying causes.

How does it work?

The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer National Partners Program is the perfect way for companies with large regional or national networks to join together with a shared passion to help the American Cancer Society save lives. To participate in the program, your company must commit to:

  • A minimum donation of $200,000 for Making Strides and the American Cancer Society's breast cancer programs
  • Identify two contacts within each organization – A volunteer leader to promote the program and encourage employees and/or customer engagement – this person will also be the Web site liaison to be trained on the features of the organization’s customized Making Strides fundraising Web page/s and A volunteer leader to organize all areas of fundraising development based on the activities chosen to reach the $200,000 minimum donation
  • Promote National Partners Program membership on your organization’s Web site or intranet and provide ongoing communication about the event as well as cancer information
  • Encourage participation in major office locations, track progress, and report year-end results

What can you expect?

The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk is a powerful event to raise awareness and funds to end breast cancer. As the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation, the non-competitive three-to five-mile walks unite nearly 300 communities with a shared determination to finish the fight. Each walk is an inspirational event that celebrates breast cancer survivors, pays tribute to loved ones lost, and raises funds to help the Society save lives from breast cancer. Last year, more than one million Making Strides walkers helped to raise more than $60 million for the American Cancer Society. Dollars raised help the Society save lives from breast cancer by investing in groundbreaking research to better understand, prevent, find, and treat the disease; providing free, comprehensive information and support to those touched by breast cancer when and where they need it; and helping people take steps to reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it’s most treatable. Find an event in your community at makingstrideswalk.org and sign up today. Together, we can finish the fight against breast cancer.
