The American Cancer Society Relay For Life^® National Corporate Team Program allows your company to join the world’s largest movement to end cancer. By forming teams across the country to support the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving work, your company and its employees can celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and most importantly, fight back against the disease to save lives.

What is Relay For Life National Corporate Team Program?

The Relay For Life National Corporate Team Program provides your company the chance to engage employees, their families, and friends to celebrate those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. The program also provides your company with a meaningful opportunity for corporate volunteerism and philanthropy, while uniting your brand with communities across the country in support of one of America’s most popular and unifying causes.

How does it work?

The Relay For Life National Corporate Team Program is the perfect way for companies with large regional or national networks to join together with the American Cancer Society to help save lives. To be involved, your company must:

• Assign a volunteer contact to coordinate teams within your organization
• Recruit at least 50 teams in two or more states to participate in Relay each year
• Provide internal communication about their participation and involvement nationwide
• Maintain regular communications with an assigned Society relationship manager
• Promote executive-level support
• Encourage participation in communities where Relay events take place
• Record and track participation progress and report year-end results

In return, your company will receive:

• An invitation to the Society’s annual Corporate Impact Conference and be recognized at the event, which is expected to attract approximately 300 corporate leaders from around the country
• Public acknowledgement at opening ceremonies at Relay events as well as a co-branded banner (provided by the Society)
• Public exposure, which includes Web promotion, promotion in the National Corporate Team Program brochure, and the annual Relay For Life report
• Those companies that meet the 50 team / 500 participant commitment during the Relay season will be included in our annual Thank You ad in a nationwide print media.

What can you expect?

Relay For Life is the signature activity of the American Cancer Society. The inspiring and life-changing event that unites more than 3.5 million people in nearly 5,000 communities and 20 countries each year to celebrate, remember, and fight back against cancer. Teams of people camp out at local high schools, parks, or fairgrounds and take turns walking or running around a track or path to provide hope that we will end this disease for future generations.
